Overview
Birmingham Repertory Theatre commissioned us to create bespoke artwork and marketing collateral to capture the spirit of their scheduled performances. With many productions being “one-off” shows, our challenge was to visually express their stories from scratch.
The Brief
The Rep needed promotional materials that would bring their diverse programme to life. Often with little or no pre-existing assets, they required original creative work that could embody the essence of each show and engage audiences.
Our Approach
Conceptual development: We started from the ground up, reading scripts and working closely with writers to fully understand each performance.
Creative execution: From initial sketches to final artwork, we produced original illustrations and photography that conveyed the unique atmosphere of every show.
Collaboration: By staying in dialogue with The Rep’s creative team, we ensured the visuals supported both the narrative and the theatre’s marketing objectives.
